Civic Credit Union | 2024-2025
Over five years, I led social media strategy, governance, and digital brand transformation initiatives for two highly trusted financial organizations: Brink’s and Civic Credit Union.
At Brink’s, I managed global social media strategy and governance for one of the world's most recognized security and cash management brands. My responsibilities included direct management of corporate social channels, oversight of social media governance across more than 30 countries, and development of enterprise-wide social media policies, standards, and best practices. I collaborated with agency partners, contractors, and internal stakeholders across dozens of teams to execute content strategies, reporting frameworks, and communications initiatives that strengthened brand consistency and global alignment.
Beyond social media leadership, I also managed key customer experience and digital transformation projects, including customer portal initiatives, migration efforts, user management pilots, and email communications programs designed to improve engagement and service delivery.
Building upon that foundation, I joined Civic Credit Union during a pivotal period as the organization prepared for its transition from the Local Government Federal Credit Union and SECU ecosystem into a fully independent financial institution. As the organization's social media subject matter expert and channel owner, I led strategy, governance, content development, campaign execution, reporting, and channel management across all major social platforms.
Throughout the transition, I worked closely with stakeholders to support brand evolution efforts, develop scalable social media processes, execute creative campaigns, and amplify key organizational initiatives through digital storytelling, video production, and event promotion. My efforts helped position the organization for a successful brand transition while establishing a stronger and more cohesive digital presence.
Across both organizations, my work focused on building trust through strategic communications, developing scalable governance frameworks, aligning digital channels with business objectives, and guiding brands through periods of meaningful organizational transformation. This industry forced me to refine my policy building, governance and copywriting to maintain the essential communication need of my channels. It also involved a lot more creative graphic and video work, finding ways to transplant a mostly intangible and sometimes controversial industry brand into a relevant and modern space.
